Despite the fact that I have been studied English in U.S.A., in my country, and here in two different college, this Course made the difference. I really feel, I have learn very useful staff for my university future studies.

I did not notice differences between the style of learning and teaching of British University and Colombian University. Both of them are very professional, I did not expected less from this experience.

As I have not been studied at university for two years it was not easy to re adapt myself to study. In the beginning I had serious problems to concentrate myself when I was trying to develop my essay and also y have big problems reading a lot in the first intents I fell asleep. Although I recognize it was also because here I am living in a different conditions, so I have to deal with my study and my work at the same time. I think I have to deal with this new position as I know it is necessary to work hard in order to get goals.

I believe that one of the challenges this course gave me was learn how to re organize my life in order to be able to study again .

I consider this course gave me essential knowledge and tools to facilitate my new experience, although to be honest I am afraid of being studding in the same room with native speakers.

I have to say this course has been fantastic, the course itself, the material given, the teachers and of course my nice classmates which have been a very important part in this process.

book> BUSINESS PYCHOLOGY AND ORGANISATIONAL BEHAVIOUR
Eugene Mckenna (2006)
Chapter 7.

Learning...
It is generally accepted that the learning process involves the acquisition of knowledge, attitudes and values, as well as emotional responses and motor skills, thus learning can takes places through the process of socialisation in a particular culture. According to this definition learning involves a relatively permanent change in behaviour that occurs as a result of previous practice and experience (Atkinson, et al. 1996) and not due to others causes such as maturation, physical damage, from fatigue or the use of drugs.

The discussion of learning subdivides into classical conditioning, operant conditioning and cognitive learning.
The first of those is traditionally associated with the name of Pavlov, the psychologist who originally experimented with it, and it is defined as an association of one event with another that results in a pattern of behaviour. In his experiments, the salivation of the dog responded not only to the food it self, but on the long run to any stimulus that had been regularly associated with such food (e g. The sound of the keeper’s footsteps), this was called a reflex action.
Conversely, in the case of the operative conditioning the learner must make a response before their behaviour is rewarded, therefore, the main difference between both is the key roll played bye the learner. According to Skinner, factors such as attention, praise, approval, success and money are mayor reinforces with humans, because for a reinforce to work it must be perceived by the recipient as being useful and relevant.

As I recognize I am in a learning process, I contacted Paul...who was my English teacher for 14 months and I asked him which were my weakest areas. He told me that although he though my Colombian accent was nice, he believed that I needed improve my pronunciation. I agree with him so what I have been trying to do creative activities in order to practice my pronunciation. Each Tuesday I have karaoke time with my flatmates. It is nice because one of them has a karaoke program so we can listen to the music and at the same time we can check the lyrics and practice my pronunciation. As I really enjoy this and it has helped me a lot, I have been doing this as a part of my self study.

It is imperative for me to write about a discussion which I had with my classmates. The Discussion was about Text D: “Globalisation and Culture Diversity” which is in the last pages of the green book.
What begun as an exercise in class, ended in a lot of reflexion, and want to express some ideas in this post.

Firstly , the fact that I read this text with people from other countries gave me the opportunity to remember what I learn about sensation and perception at University. In a nutshell, what the Gestalt School says about sensation and perception is that although two o more people are exposed to the same stimulus each person is going to perceive something completely different, partly because each person perceive those stimulus depending on his or her personal story , own experiences, knowledge, among others.

We had as a task read TEXT D when was the time to discuss this text and write down the main ideas, I found that I had perceive something completely different. For me this text was erroneous, the thought which the author exposed were insufficiently supported and some examples which were given were not true. So I tried to expose this to my classmates but neither of them were agree with me, they supported the author statement which was that Globalisation did not mean Americanisation, on the contrary Globalisation mean the proliferation of cultures around the world. What I found was that the fact that I am Latin American influenced a lot my point of view, and my background and experiences gave me the opportunity to argue against the author statement.

After few days I have still thinking about this. And today I can say that if one of the objectives of this text was Globalisation an culture diversity, the objective was completed...and more than that this experence gave me the opportunitty to understand what culture diversity means in a real context, academic context.

WH@T BuSSiNeS CuLTuRe Me@NS ...

In order to understand the connection between Business Psychology and Globalisation, I have had to look up some key words.
On Saturday, I went to Marylebone Library and I found a book called:
"Change: How to adapt and transform business", this book was written by The London Business School.
In this book I found a very important definition, which a think is going to be the "connexion word" between my area and Globalisation.

BUSINESS CULTURE
"Culture exists in people's minds and the relationships that they form with their colleagues"

In the beginning was not easy for me to define what culture means because is something intangible, for that reason the way to evaluate business or organisational culture is trough expression and manifestations in the dairy life.
The values, the rules which are not imposed(intrinsic rules), share beliefs, informal relationships (groups of friends) and the interactions. Also it is important to take into account the communication (which kind of information is share and how this information is distributed, How people identify themselves as a team and as individual .

Now I am looking forward to knowing more about Business or Organisational Culture. Do not you?
